Paul was born December 28, 1934 in Santo, Texas to the late Bertha Lee Weaver Edwards and Robert Lee Edwards. He retired from the Texas Highway Department after more than 31 years as an engineering inspector. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and his hobbies included a passion for creating detailed leatherwork and woodworking. Paul's storytelling of Texas cowboy experiences kept his family and friends laughing. He was a member of Willow Park Baptist Church where he faithfully served as an usher for many years.
Paul is survived by his wife, Leda Ruth Edwards of Burleson; son, Daniel Edwards and wife, Winona, of Rio Vista; daughters: Julie Forman and husband, Steven, of Azle; Vickie Pruitt and husband, Mike, of Fort Worth; and Lisa Mapes of Burleson; brother, Roy Gene Edwards of Lipan; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Patsy Mae Sublett Edwards and his sister, Virginia Ruth McLelland.
