Paul graduated from Paris High School and went on to pursue a career as a truck driver for Texas Steel and later on, Mrs. Baird’s. He married Lavalla Vickers on August 16th, 1982.
Paul is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lavalla Vickers; his mother, Vera Sullivan Vickers; Father, William Paul Vickers; his four siblings, Jerry, Bobbie, Donnie, and Mattie; and stepdaughter, Darla Roberts.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Bill Vickers, Paul “Skeet” Vickers and wife Virginia; Stepson, Ken and Charla Mitchell; Grandchildren, Alexcis and Bodie Mitchell, DeBrina and Tye Thornton, Darren and Kat Roberts; Sisters, Linda Boss and Kay Wade; great-grandchildren, Emberly, Dayne, Elizabeth, Addison, Kayli, Alyvia, and Taylen; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
