FORT WORTH -- Pearl Elizabeth Baird, 90, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 31, 2010. Funeral: 7 p.m. Wednesday in Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel, with the rosary beginning at 5:30 p.m. The family will receive friends 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Interment: 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, in Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Ruidoso, N.M. Pearl Elizabeth Baird was born April 20, 1920, in San Antonio and married Orville Lee Baird on April 27, 1940. They resided in El Paso for 20 years, moving to Ruidoso for 40 years then moved to Fort Worth for 10 years. Pearl devoted her life to her children and grandchildren and also was a home care giver for the elderly. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; and two sons, Dwayne Lee and Dwight Lee Baird. Survivors: Daughter, Del Rae Baird of Austin and Elizabeth Morgan of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Grandma will be missed by so many. She was so amazing. I met her about 20 years ago and even though she was around 70 years old, you would never have guessed it. She looked in her 50's and was so active an energetic. She is out of her pain and suffering now.
