

Peggy Jean (Caraway) Jackson, 90, of Burleson, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 21, 1935. Peggy graduated from Polytechnic High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics with a minor in Religion from Texas Wesleyan College in 1957.
She was married to Charles Pearre Jackson on August 13, 1960 in Fort Worth, TX. They were married for 57 years.
Peggy was an elementary school teacher for several years prior to her first child being born. She then dedicated herself to homemaking and raising her two daughters. She was also a Brownie Troop leader, worked part-time sewing garments for display at Cloth World, and worked for Michaels/MJ Designs. Crafting, sewing and needlework, particularly counted cross-stitch, were some of her favorite hobbies. She created many things that are now treasured.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2021. She is survived by daughters, Pam Chenault her husband Chuck and Michelle Rose, grandchildren, Brandon Chenault, Jake Chenault, Jessica Cross and Colten Rose. She has three great granddaughters, Paisley Cross, Montana Cross and Liberty Cross.
The family invites you to a celebration of Peggy’s life on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 10:00 am, at Laurel Land Funeral Home in the Chapel of Chimes.
Visitation at 9:00am on Friday, December 19, 2025 prior to service.
