

Service: 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Meadowbrook United Methodist Church. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Meadowbrook United Methodist Church, Texas Masonic Retirement Center, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children or an organization of choice.
Polly was born March 12, 1924, in Beaumont to James Benton and Mary Grace Whitehurst Gean. She was a graduate of Polytechnic High School, class of 1941. She was also a graduate of TCU with a degree in violin and voice. She married Lt. William Bryan Jennings Jr. in 1945 in Seattle, Wash.
Polly was a member of Meadowbrook United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, P.E.O. chapter of DL, TCU Alumni Association, Eastside Creative Arts Club and the Southeast Pastel Society. She also enjoyed painting, sewing, and the arts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and husband, Lt. William Bryan Jennings Jr.
Survivors: Children, William Bryan Jennings III and wife, Wanda, the Rev. Mary Gean Cope and Benton Robin Jennings and wife, Liz; grandchildren, John R. Cope, Andrew B. Cope and Elizabeth Brown; great-grandchildren, Maddie, Blake, Lauren and Bryson Brown; brother, John Benton Gean; and many nieces and nephews.
