I will never forget Uncle Raymond! I'm so happy that I got to see him with Rona play at this little cafe. Probably 2005 2006. God bless and prayers to The whole Family.


I will always remember Uncle Raymond playing the steel guitar and what beautiful music he made. He loved playing as much as I loved hearing it. A kind soul who will be missed. I only wish I could’ve seen him again.

Peeps (Raymond) was a humorous, gentle, and kind man.  He always had pet names for everyone.  From the day JoAnn and I married, my name was Eaton-ski.  He always grinned and chuckled after calling me Eaton-ski.  Well over forty years, this was my name.  When Peeps started having memory failures in the nursing home and I’d visit, he didn’t recognize me.  JoAnn would tell him that my name was Eaton-ski.  He’d get that familiar grin and twinkle in his eye, and then it would slowly fade away.  He didn’t remember me by sight, but he remembered the pet name he had always referred to me as, even if it was just for a brief moment.  I didn’t love Peeps as a father-in-law.  I loved him as a dad.  

Raymond was extremely special. The staff and residents miss him greatly.  Ray was the sunshine on dark days with his witty humor. We will always remember the joy he brought us each day.

My prayers have been going out to all the family grieving Uncle Raymond’s passing. However I do find comfort  thinking about him rejoicing to see and again be with his parents and siblings again in heaven. I hope each one of you do also. Our time on earth is such a blip whereas eternity is rejoicing together forever in the presence of our savior! Bless you each one!
