Reverend David Holmes, Sr.

David Holmes Sr. a proclaimer of "The Gospel Message" fell asleep in the arm of the Savior, Thursday June 4, 2015 in the comfort of his residence surrounded by his loving family.

A Jubulaint Celebration for The Reverend David Holmes Sr. will be held high noon Saturday at Como First Missionary Baptist Church the Reverend Kenneth Jones pastor, officiating. Interment Cedar Hill Memorial Park with military honors.

Visitation: noon to 8:00 p.m. in the Veronica Chapel of Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors.

Left in the caring hands of the Almighty are his loving and devoted wife of 66 glorious years Annie Pearl, children; David Holmes Jr., Michael Holmes, Cynthia Holmes Casey and husband Michael, Sandra Holmes Gipson and husband Larry, and LaShonda Holmes, brother, Johnny Holmes, sisters; Odessa Justice, Kathrine Stoneham, Dorothy Ingram and husband Vernell 13, grandchildren 20 great-grandchildren 4 great-great-grandchildren a host of other relatives and friends.
