Rhonda Hamilton

Her celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Shannon Funeral Home, located at 6001 Rufe Snow Drive, North Richland Hills, Texas 76148.

Rhonda was born on October 14, 1954, in La Marque, TX, to Barbara and Leonard Brooks. She grew up in Houston, Lake Dallas, and even spent some time in Venezuela before settling in Haltom City, Texas, where she built a life filled with love and dedication to her family and friends.

She was a dedicated employee of Starke Machine for 40 years, known for her strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to excellence.

Family was truly the heart of Rhonda’s world. She was a loving mother, Granny, Nana, and GiGi who found her greatest joy in watching the kids play sports, spending quality time with loved ones, or relaxing at home with her fur babies.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Edward Hamilton Sr.; her mother, Barbara J. Brooks; her father, Leonard H. Brooks; her stepfather, John L. Massey Jr.; and her brothers, Ricky Brooks, Gary Brooks, and John L. Massey III.

She is survived by her son, Joe Edward Hamilton Jr.; her daughter, Wenona Hartfiel and her husband, Jason; her grandson, Taylor Alvarez and his wife, Payton; her granddaughter, Breelea Hartfiel; her brother, Mike Massey; her sisters-in-law, Mary Brooks and Anita Hamilton; her companion, Robert Stacey; along with many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Rhonda will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
