Richard (Dick) L. Chevalier Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandpa, and Papaw entered God’s kingdom on October 10, 2022, at the age of 89. Dick joined the Air Force in 1952 embarking on a 22-year career serving both at home and overseas including England, Turkey, Thailand, and Guam. After short periods with Stratoflex and Radio Shack, Dick embarked on a 17-year career at Lockheed Martin before entering retirement.
Dick enjoyed traveling, gardening, fishing, and vacationing with friends. As a member of Tarrant County Walkers Association, he, along with his wife Mary, traveled across the country in their RV to participate in national park walks. Together they completed walks in 49 states, including Alaska and Hawaii.
Dick and Mary married in 1956 and together raised two children, Rick and Vicki. Dick is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Flossie Chevalier, and sister Betty Brown. He is survived by his wife, children, Rick and spouse Karen, Vicki and spouse Ray, six grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
