Richard was born January 12, 1971, in Edison, New Jersey. Rich graduated from Clarence High School in Clarence, New York, and received a degree in Criminal Justice from Adirondack Community College in Queensbury, New York. Rich worked in law enforcement as a Lieutenant for the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department in Fort Worth, Texas. He served in various positions over the last 20 years. Rich often mentored others in hope to positively impact those he came in contact with.
Rich loved to participate in multiple sports and devoted time to coach softball and volleyball with local youth organizations. He had a passion for music, particularly songs with a deep underlying meaning.
Richard was married to the love of his life, Leslie Perez. Cooking foods that were family favorites, such as chicken noodle soup, lasagna and the kid's favorite, mashed potatoes, was a joy for him. He could be found out on the town or at home in jeans, t-shirt and his favorite pair of boots. Rich treasured his family and friends. With them, he spent time playing cards and board games. He loved games so much he made his own giant Jenga game for all to enjoy. On occasion, you might also catch him jumping on the trampoline or tossing the football around with his kids. He liked to take them to the gym to spend quality time together. He cherished that time and those relationships he built with them.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian A. Krieger and his grandparents.
Those left to cherish his memory are wife, Leslie, of Willow Park, Texas; children, Dylan and Ryan Krieger of Springtown, Texas, Madalyn and Katie Lynn of Willow Park, Texas; his pets, Max, Belle, Pho, Ozzie and Roxy; father, Richard Krieger Sr., of Queensbury, New York; in-laws, Sylvia Perez and Raul Perez Sr., of San Antonio, Texas; brother-in-law, Raul Perez Jr.; sisters, Sharon Krieger of Point of Rocks, Maryland and Susan (Krieger) Whitney and her spouse Brian of Merrimack, New Hampshire; nieces and nephews, Steven and Brent Whitney of Merrimack, New Hampshire, Megan (Whitney) Senturk and her spouse Yasin, of Boston, Massachusetts; and many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
