Richard was born in Houston on March 7, 1944. After a successful career in sales with 31 years at The HON Co., he recently retired but maintained long-lasting relationships.
Richard loved to fly commercially. He had more than 1 million miles on two different airlines. He loved to travel, loved sports. He refereed football and umpired baseball.
All who met him loved him. He was a "Dad," brother and best friend to many. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him dearly.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Peggy Flanagan; and grandson, Spencer Sebek.
Survivors: Wife of 25 years, Ann Pappas; stepsister, JoAnn Meyers; aunt, Patricia Bullock; children, Christopher Pappas (Annette), Shelley Pappas, Neely Sebek (David), Gretchen Roach, Julie Wilkins (Russell) and Casey Roach; 11 grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of co-workers, customers, and friends.
