Richard Perrin, 57, died December 19, 2015 at 10:07am. His wife’s car broke down and she had their 8 and 11 year old girls with her. Jerilyn got the girls out of the car and to the side of the road to safety. She called her husband, Richard Perrin, who was at work. Richard left work immediately and found them. He made sure his family was safe on the side of the road and returned to the broken down car to retrieve their presents for their girls from Santa. He was struck by another vehicle and killed instantly. His family witnessed the entire event.
Richard grew up attending Royal Haven Baptist Church and was very active in the youth division. He always loved helping others, and had fond memories of his days as an Eagle Scout. Richard attended Stephen F. Austin State University. He made a career in entertainment and was involved extensively for more than 25 years in commercial, television, film, and real people castings, and celebrity bookings, in addition to coaching acting, directing, producing, and writing original movie scripts.
Richard was a family man who adored his wife and children. He was their everything, and will be greatly missed by his wife of over 20 years, Jerilyn Carmen Perrin, and his two young children, Caitlyn Camille and Chloe.
He is also survived by his father, Dr. Joe L. Perrin; three sisters, Mona Trout and husband, Ron, Rhonda Osburn and husband, Jeff, Beverly Perrin and partner, Samantha; many loving in-laws, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, acting students, colleagues, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, June Perrin.
Church service will be held at Royal Haven Baptist Church on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 11am. Graveside service will be held at Shannon Rosehill Cemetery on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 11am.
