Obituary of Ricky Don Neal
IN THE CARE OF

Ricky “Rick” D. Neal of Decatur, TX, age 63, passed away after having Intracerebral hemorrhage went to be with the Lord peacefully in the early morning of July 14, 2023.

Ricky had almost 64 years of curiosity, wisdom, and devotion to his family, friends and faith. Born in Fort Worth Texas, Ricky was the youngest of three siblings born and grew up helping to tend to his father's business, Dry Ice Company, that served the community and surrounding businesses. Following graduation from Keller High School, much to the surprise of his friends and family, Ricky decided to enter the Christian ministry, determined to influence others gently but convincingly toward Christ and the Church. Ricky attended various workshops, achieved ministry certification, attended TCC and studied Horticulturist, and attended Champion’s School of Real Estate achieving Broker License.

In pastoral ministry, in community leadership, in denominational service– in the exemplary way he embodied the Christian life– Ricky fulfilled his vocation as he had his childhood, tending to his own business in Sports Trading Cards (Rick’s Coaches Corner Sorts Cards). He exuded respect, practiced grace, set high standards, and lived love; advising his fellow followers, but indeed all within his sphere of influence. In addition Ricky, loved many sports, Golf and Baseball was some of many.

Ricky is survived by his Mother Vivian Neal; wife Cheryl Neal; Son’s Bobby Neal and wife Mallory, Philip Neal and wife Laura, brother, Jackie Neal and wife Donna, Sister Marie and husband Paul, Stepson Brody Blevins, Stepdaughter Kammy and husband Kyle Ament, Grandson Murphy, 6 (Bonus)-grandchild, numerous family members.

Ricky was preceded in death by Father, Warren Neal and Stepdaughter Brandi Watson.
