

Robert “Bobby” Alvarado Sr., age 75, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021. He was born on November 2, 1945, in Fort Worth, TX to Juan and Belen Alvarado. He was the 12th of 13 children. Bobby was raised to be a devout catholic and continued to practice his faith. He graduated from Trimble Tech High School in 1965. During his time at Trimble Tech High School, he was named the All-District Center Fielder. He married his high school sweetheart, Martha (Rodriguez) Alvarado on January 8, 1966. Bobby’s passion for baseball led him to continue to play in adult baseball leagues throughout his life. At the age of 48, Bobby led a men’s National Adult Baseball Association team as the coach to a championship in San Antonio, TX. After many years of service, he retired from Film-Pak in Crowley, TX.
Bobby was a life-long devoted Texas Longhorns fan. He enjoyed spending his time doing word searches, talking to his grandchildren, watching football and baseball, going to the casino, and caring for his dog Bentley. Him and his wife Martha made numerous memories going on their countless road trips across the country together. He loved telling stories about his life especially about his childhood in Wisconsin. He embodied such charisma he could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was committed to being the best Pawcraw he could be to his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy as he would say. He brought such a presence into every room he went into. He was a hard worker that never settled for anything less than the best. He impacted many lives with his honest character and generous nature. He will be profoundly missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Martha Alvarado; his son, Robert Alvarado Jr., and his life partner Sharon Madigan; his daughter, Anastasia Patton, and her husband Minor S. Patton III; his grandson, Taylor Patton, and his wife Taylor Patton; his granddaughter, Arianna Patton; his great granddaughter, Sunny Patton; his sister, Lorraine Jones; his brother, Frank Alvarado and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Robert will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home - Ft Worth, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX 76134.
A funeral service will take place Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A committal service will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth
