Roberty Lyn Gregory, age 60 of Richland Hills, Texas passed away on July 19, 2020.

Visitation: Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 10:00am to 11:30am at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Graveside Service will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

Robert was born May 12, 1960 in Dallas, Texas to Ivan and Nettye Gregory. He grew up in Euless, graduating from Trinity High in 1978. Robert’s first job at the Piggly Wiggly led to a 20 year career in the grocery business, eventually retiring as a store manager with Albertsons. His most cherished memories included playing softball, hunting with his dad and friends, fishing at Lake Murvaul, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Robert lived life to the fullest and with no regrets. He will most be remembered by his larger than life personality and his willingness to help others in need. He was preceeded in death by his mother Nettye; his best friend, John and his dog, Rockey. He is survived by his father, Ivan , of Richland Hills; his daughter Holli, and 2 grandchildren, Tarren and Nick of Waco; a very special girl, Heather of Indiana, his aunt Linda and Uncle George of College Station; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.

I don't even know were to begin I met robert wen I started at Albertsons food he was the night manager over the night crew .. iij didn't no what to think this was my first job in grocery store seen this crazy guy who was hollering to hurry guys were behind .we need to get this product on the shelves I thought he was a real hard ass j was like o no this is not going to be good for me he expected everyone to no this job allready so later on that morning he told the grocery manager that I wouldn't make it on the night crew I. Was to slow for this job but he also didn't know the manager was married to my sister so he said give him some time he will work out and he said ok well months went on he never talked to me just told me hurry up new guy u are slowing us up .is all he said to me .then a year passed and I moved up to another department of the store and wen I'd see him the he said no hard feelings about your working it's just I expect guys to allready now the job I told no problems then later on he asked me if wanted to play on the soft ball team and we kind became good friends.
He was a very happy person loud and fun to be around I remember times he came over to me and my wife's house for dinner he loved to come cause I all was cooked out rib eye steaks and would come eat watch the game and relax at my house my family was his family we all loved robert he was the type of person who would give his last dollar if I needed it and I was the same with him just wanted every one to know he I very much missed wen he found out that my wife had passed in February he was just a floored he didn't even know what to say about it to me I told him it will be alright he always was there for me and my family tell DeAnna I said that i still love her since you seen her before me love you brother piece and love to your family ......go rest in peacefully you rocky bridgette and DeAnna have fun in the other life love Anthony Garza

I remember all the Lathams playing hide and go seek, and kick the can when we were little growing up on Martha street in Euless!! Great memories!!
