After moving to Fort Worth with his mother Robert attended Dunbar Middle School and from there he attended Dunbar High School where he obtained his education. Robert accepted Jesus in heart as his Lord and Savior, he didn’t attend church on a regular basis but he knew Jesus was the son of the living God.
Robert worked as a carpenter and alot of time as a handyman which he loved to work, he would help anyone who needed him, Robert had a big heart and was a very kind person.
On February 18, 2021 the Lord God saw his pain and knew he was tired and ready to go home and he called his Angel home.
Robert was proceeded in death by his parents, grandparents Booker T. and Zelma Calloway Johnson, brother, Earl Louis Matthews, sisters Linda Marie Matthews and Doris Ann Matthews.
He leaves fond memories to be cherished by his son Robert Sharp, daughter, Sharee Sharp, Grandson, Karson Sharp, Brother, Douglas Matthews and a very special friend Ms. Wanda Lee and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and a multitude of family and friends.
