Robert will be truly missed by so many people. Once you met him, you would never forget him. He had so much life, energy and joy that he didn't mind sharing with others. He loved to dance. But he loved his wife and kids more. Whenever we saw him and talked with him, he was always talking about his kids. I would like to let the family know that we send our prayers and condolences. Continue to look to God. That is where you will obtain the strength to endure. Live off the memories. Stay lively and joyful, that is what he would have wanted.

My condolemces to the family. I didnt know Robert or his wife personally but always loved to see them dance.  They had much love for one another. Rest in heaven

I didn't know Robert personally, but his and his wife's presence is well known in the swing dance community. He was always full of life and always motivated people to have a good time because they "didn't have to go to work tomorrow"  . The swing dance community always knew he was there even when we couldn't see him because the dance floor was packed just from hearing his famous words, "hey, hey and Puerto Rico". His love for his wife was ever present in dance and also his love for his children as he helped them with fitness at the community center. He and his family are in my prayers. God bless.

Robert will forever be missed my condolences goes out to his wife and family. He was such a nice person and my husband and I loved interacting with him on the dance floor!!!! We will definitely miss him and will keep his family in our prayers.

We are so sorry to hear of Robert's passing. When we saw him and Sallie on the dance floor we knew we were in for a treat. The dance floor will never be the same. We will miss the entertainment on the floor. We will keep the family in our thoughts and prayers.

Robert was such a nice person always willing to help when and where he could....We will miss him coming into our establishment saying his famous words Hey, Hey, Hey. My Dear Sallie, Sweetie, I am so sorry about your Precious Love Robert! Gone too soon!  I just asked about you guys a couple of weeks ago when I was in Dallas! Thank you for being at my birthday party at SDS last November! I am so sorry & praying hard! Just found out about this at 3 pm today (Thurs)! Still in shock! God Bless you & your Family!

Robert was a friend and inspiration to all of those who knew him.  Cross Country and track meets will not be the same without him there.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time of sorrow.

Robert Muriel loved life. He enjoyed his life and he made everyday count. He had a big heart for people. He was kind and generous. He was always ready to help anyone. He was a friend to everyone he met. He brought joy and laughter to everyone. He always said hi to everyone.

Robert was a good father. He loved his sons. He wanted the best for them. He wanted them to succeed in life. He encouraged and helped them in every way he could. He was always there for them.

Robert was like a father figure to all the neighborhood kids. He was very involved in their lives. He cared to listen to them and to encourage them to reach their full potential. He looked after everyone in the neighborhood. We will miss your music, your singing, your laughter, your smile and the joy you spread to everyone. You brightened up the neighborhood. We will miss your friendship. Robert, you will truly be missed.
