Robert Paul Pettit, Sr. passed away on October 8, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 84.

He was born in 1937 to Charles and Helen Pettit in Buffalo, New York. Bob attended Williamsville South High School where he played varsity soccer while also working for the local newspaper, the Amherst Bee, helping to support his mother after the passing of both his father and grandfather.

After graduation he joined the U.S. Air Force serving his country for 22 years before transitioning to a civil service position for another 22 years. He then worked many years in the private sector as an independent contractor to the US government. In retirement his primary focus was homeless American veterans.

Bob married and during the 1960's became father to Lisa, Robert, Jr. (Bobby), and Jeffery. In 1987 he remarried to Patricia Kay (Trish) Fuson (nee Frealy). Trish and her daughters, Debi and Cathy Fuson joined the Pettit family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles; mother, Helen; stepfather, Duncan; brothers, Charles W. Pettit, Jr. and Donald R. Pettit; and sister, Elise Ann Carpenter.

Those who love, honor and remember Bob are his wife of 35 years, Patricia Kay Frealy Pettit; his children, Lisa Bennet, Bob Pettit, Jeffery Pettit, Debi Morris and Cathy Talbot; his grandchildren, Marissa, Jaylen, Demarco, Gabriel, Nathaniel and Lillian; brother, Alan Pettit; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family; as well as, a host of friends in both the United States and in Canada.

Memorial services will be held in St. Joseph, Michigan and Las Vegas, Nevada in the near future.
