Robin Turner Forsyth

Robin believed that love lifts us up. The celebration of Robin’s life will be 11 am Friday, September 9, 2016 at Laurel Land Chapel of the Chimes. The family will receive visitors for an hour prior to service.

Memorials: As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to Camp Fire First Texas 2700 Meacham Blvd, Fort Worth, Texas, 76137. These donations will help send children to the same summer camp in which so many beautiful memories were shared with Robin, Camp El Tessoro.

Robin was born April 20, 1955 in Fort Worth. She graduated from Southwest High School and received her degree in Special Education from Texas State University. She worked as a special education teacher and then moved into a career in mortgage banking at Turner Young Investment Company. Robin was an avid animal lover and began The St. Bernard Keg Company that created beautiful barrels, kegs, and collars for St. Bernards.

Robin was married to Andy, the love of her life, for 33 years. They shared a love for travel and recently took many cruises. Robin was a keen genealogy researcher and spent much time documenting her family’s history. She was inventive and imaginative party host, who created many memories for her nieces, nephews, and grandsons with treasure hunts and homemade ice cream. She enjoyed fishing and was an active volunteer with El Tesoro Camp as a Camp Fire leader for many years. She was known for her sharp wit and sense of humor. To her family, Robin was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. “Bennie” cherished her time with her grandsons, Trey and Holden.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Patty Turner; father-in-law, Frank Forsyth.

She is survived by her husband, Andy Forsyth; daughter, Haley Barnett and husband Jeff; grandsons, Trey and Holden; sisters, Debbie Monroe and husband Bill, Vicki Chism and husband Larry; brother, Bob Turner and wife Marsha; sister-in-law, Mary Morton and husband Bill; mother-in-law, Mable Forsyth; nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear colleagues and friends.
