Robin Renee Gutansky

Robin was born on August 22, 1963, to parents Robert and Aurora Vernier in Galveston, Texas. She was one of four children. Robin from her youth, was outgoing and had a contagious laugh. She met and married her husband, Shawn, in 1989, and they celebrated 31 years of marriage.

Robin’s pride and joy were her children, and then later, her grandchildren. Robin loved swimming and the water, allowing many beautiful family memories to be made spending time together on trips, around a swimming pool and at the beach. Robin will leave an indelible mark of love in those that survive her. Those who were blessed to call her wife, mother, grandmother and friend will dearly miss her.

Robin is preceded in death by her father, Robert Vernier, and her brother, Roger Vernier.

Left to cherish Robin’s memory are: her husband of 31 years, Shawn Gutansky; Sons and daughter, Ashley Whitmore, and fiancé, Brandon, Bradley Whitmore, and Chad (Amanda) Gutansky; grandchildren, Brae, Lucille, and Madison; her mother, Agie (Harvey) Votaw; brother, Joe (Karen) Vernier; sister, Sindi (Mark) Warren; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, neices, nephews and friends.

The family plans to have a Celebration of Life Service at a later date.
