

Roger D. Graham, 68, passed away Monday, February 20, at North Texas Veteran’s Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Graham was born May 28, 1943, in Littlefield, Texas, where he lived until he was 12 and then was raised in Edmonds, Washington. He was the son of Robert and Bobbie Graham. He was a graduate of Eastern Washington State University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Music. He earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Michigan State University.
Graham spent 15 years in the U.S. Army where he rose to the rank of Major as a Huey Helicopter pilot and a fixed wing pilot. He served two years in Viet Nam and was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery and valor.
Graham had resided in the Lake Texoma area for the past 15 years. His primary interest was serving New Beginnings Church at Madill where he played guitar and sang on the Praise Team, cooked for the Tuesday county-wide Men’s Luncheon, counseled married couples, taught, and led the Friday night Life Recovery meetings.
Graham was an avid golfer. His favorite recreation was playing at Buncombe Creek Golf Course and winning the Senior Scramble.
Family was beloved to Graham. He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Vicki, of Kingston, a son, Jason Graham, and wife, Sue, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a daughter, Jody Inchausti and husband, Ron, of Huntington Beach, California; daughter, Kristi Wade and husband, David, of Trophy Club, Texas; and daughter-in-law, Elayna Kelly, of Roanoke, Texas. A son, John Nikolas (Nik) Kelly, preceded him in death in March, 2009. He has seven grandchildren: J.T. Wade of Roanoke, Texas; Kelly Wade of Trophy Club, Texas; Corbyn and John Nikolas Kelly, Jr., of Roanoke; Bryan and Kyle Graham of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Bella Inchausti of Huntington Beach, California. He has three great-grandchildren, Parker Wade and Haley and Morgan Butler of Roanoke. His mother-in-law is Lenell Portman of Sulphur, Oklahoma. His sister, Kathy Crumrine, is from Ellensburg, Washington. He has numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial Celebration Service was held Sunday, February 26, at New Beginnings Church in Madill with Pastor Don Williams and Pastor Travis Williams officiating. A special graveside service at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur, Oklahoma, will be held Saturday, March 3, for out-of-state family and friends.
