Rojean was born Nov. 1, 1928, in Greenville to Edward Lee and Gladys Lucille Gay. She was a 1948 graduate of Polytechnic High School. She married her husband of 68 years, Edgar Lee Boteler, on Nov. 15, 1946. She worked as a nurse for over 25 years before retiring to focus on being a homemaker and taking care of her children and others. Her biggest passion besides her family was her church. She was the president of her Sunday school class and enjoyed baking for them. She was an artistic, creative person who enjoyed painting, quilting, sewing and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mackey Lee Gay.
Survivors: Husband, Edgar Lee Boteler; children, Marla Little (Charles), Debbie Hoffman (John), Becky (Daniel) Moore and Blake Boteler (Tamra); eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Edith Peacock and Connie Rux; and numerous nieces and nephews.
