He was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on August 31, 1944. Ron graduated from Trinity Christian College and received his Bachelors of Science.
He was married to Sandra M. Lawson on March 23, 1996, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Ron had a career in the United States Army serving 20 years Active Duty and 21 years as a Resource Manager for DOD. Ron served in the Vietnam war and received the bronze star medal, meritorious service medal, army commendation medal, and army achievement award.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and had a passion for golfing and fishing.
Ronald is preceded in death by his father, mother, sister, two nephews, a son, and cousins.
Ron is survived by his wife, Sandra M. Lawson, his children Joann Rodriguez (Gus), Robert Lawson (Lisa), Ronald Lawson, Dorothy "Richie" Colon (Angel), Lonny Knoll (Carly), Tiffany Cole (Todd); 25 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, one brother James Kevin Lawson and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 2:00 PM on November 15, 2026 at Laurel Land Funeral Home: 7100 Crowley Road Fort Worth, TX 76134.
