Matthew 5:4 " Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Ronald David Strong AKA (Papa), 63, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend, died on February 6, 2019. Funeral Service: 3 pm Friday Feb 15, 2019 at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Visitation: Hour prior to service beginning at 2 pm. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Ronald was born April 16, 1955 to Mother Betty Herron and Harold King (stepfather) the man who raised him. Ronald resided in Fort Worth Tx, until age seven, when his family moved to Carlsbad, NM. There he became a phenomenal athlete in high school, holding several records in both football and track. He was offered an athletic scholarship to go to college, but instead of attending school he decided to serve in the United States Navy. Soon after his service in the Navy he got married and started a family. He was a proud father of his two surviving children, Tiffany Nicole Strong and Christopher Ryan Strong; sisters, Darlene Strong and Keri King; brothers, Randy Strong, and Neil King; first wife, Pamela Wright-Brown ( mother of children; second wife, Anne; grandchildren, which he called the highlights of his life, Cheyenne, Eli, Grace, and Presleigh; nieces, Tara, Jade, Kelly and Sarah; nephews, Robbie, Jeremy, and Troy.

My deepest sorrows to the Strong/King family for the passing of Ron. I did not know him, but do know members of the family and know that Ron was a great man and will be missed deeply. My prayers of comfort are with you. Rest in Paradise Ron.
