Rosa Medina

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosa Elena Medina, who went to be with the Lord on March 29th, 2025 at the age of 87. She passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Atascaderos, Chihuahua, Mexico, Rosa was a woman of unwavering strength, deep faith, and endless love. She immigrated to the United States of America to help her children as they made their own path in this new country. After moving to the United States, Rosa became a devoted member of the Church in Fort Worth, where her faith deepened and where her community grew. Her commitment to her faith was evident in the way she lived her life.

Rosa was the proud mother and mother-in-law of her son Mario Medina and his wife Oralia Medina, her son Alfonso Medina and his wife Rosario Medina, her daughter Martha Alicia Cruz, her daughter Elida Lina Licerio and her husband Jesus Licerio, her son Fidencio Medina and his wife Yesenia Medina, her son Rito Medina and his wife Martha Medina, her son Jesus Medina, and her son Jose Medina†. Though she faced unimaginable losses with the passing of her cherished son, Jose Medina, her beloved husband, Fidencio Medina, and her treasured grandsons Jose Medina and Daniel Licerio, she carried their memories in her heart and found strength in her faith and family.

She was a loving grandmother to 23 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 24 great-grandchildren. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of her delicious cooking – her way of bringing everyone together. Her selflessness and devotion to her family created a foundation of love that will continue for generations.

Rosa was a woman who trusted in God to guide her through life’s joys and challenges. She was a source of comfort, wisdom, and strength to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a large extended family who will continue to honor her memory by living their lives with the same love and devotion she showed them.
