Salena B Slater-Miller, born March 28, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY to Edward P Slater and Mildred Pough. Salena
first married to Fenton DeSilva in 1965 and gave birth to Yvette M DeSilva. In 1972, she married the love of her life, James Edward Miller.
She worked in the Financial Business for 54 yrs. Salena would still be in that business if it wasn't for illness.She loved her job. Salena enjoyed bowling, reading books and her 5 grand kids. Three of which she raise.
Salena is survived by her husband James Miller; sisters Paulette Slater and Sheryl Middleton; daughter Yvette DeSilva Hester; two step-children Shatif Miller and Regina Miller; five grandchildren Jermaine, Resean, Shantal, Anesiya and James; three great-grandchildren Nasiere, Iyanna, and Cameron; in loving memory Zyire; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her very much.
