Sarah Elizabeth Webster was 92 years of age when she passed on May 6, 2026, at Brookdale Tanglewood Oaks located in Fort Worth, TX. She was born Sarah Elizabeth Harrison on March 27, 1934, in Oklahoma City, Ok to her parents William Mace Harrison and Juanita Willers. In 1955, Sarah graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a Baccalaureate in Accounting.
Sarah once explained that she loved reading because it could take her to any place at any point in time. The genre she loved, outside of delving into the Reference Rack, was Historical Fiction. It was this love of reading that spurred her to teach reading to those that couldn’t read. In concert with the love of reading, she allowed herself to travel on numerous trips with Road Scholar in later years, bringing her great joy! Her love of history led her to volunteer as a docent at the Genghis Khan exhibit at the Irving Arts Center in 2023. The love of art didn’t stop there. She experimented with wood carving, jewelry making, sewing, and bringing life to 3D-Stained Glass pieces of Art designed by her husband, Tom Webster. Last, but not least, Sarah was active for many years at Plymouth Park United Methodist Church in Irving, TX, where she loved to integrate herself into many of the available activities, fulfilling her desires to serve others.
Sarah is preceded in death by her parents, Mace and Juanita Harrison, her husband, Tom Webber Webster, and her son, Christopher Harrison Webster.
Sarah leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her eldest son and his wife, Timothy Harrison and Cindy J Webster; her middle son and his wife, Matthew Harrison and Cindy Zimmerman Webster; her Daughter-in-Law, Valerie Webster and her Grandson, Kai Harrison Webster.
A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on the 27th of May at Plymouth Park United Methodist Church located at 1615 W Airport Fwy, Irving TX 75062. She requested to be cremated, and her ashes will be inurned next to her husband at Laurel Land Funeral Home & Memorial Park at 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX 76134.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to an organization that focuses on the love of reading, such as Reading Is Fundamental, or donating to a local museum, either would be a wonderful way to cherish her memory.
