November 7, 1936 – January 1, 2020
Mrs. Sayde Louise Neal was born to Mr. James Ira Murrell and Mrs. Aria Voss Murrell on November 7, 1936, in Waco, TX. She later moved to Cleburne, TX before finally settling at her lifelong home in Fort Worth, TX. Sayde was a no-nonsense woman who reared her family in the Christian faith. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she was always a caretaker. Many members of her family lived in her home at some point in their life. She had a main rule you had to follow if you lived there: going to church on Sunday was a must. Sayde worked at Carswell A.F.B., as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, where she taught diabetic management until she retired. She was a proud member of Truevine Missionary Baptist Church and loved to make sure people knew she was one of the founding members. She had been a member of the mass choir and a Sunday School teacher. One of her proudest accomplishments was graduating Mount Olive Bible Institute. She loved God—reading His word and listening to Jimmy Swaggart sing about God’s promises. Sayde joined our heavenly father on New Year’s Day, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Dan Neal, her son, Ahnin Forbes, III; her brothers James Murrell and Daniel Tillman; and her sisters Elizabeth Sneed and Beatrice Lowe.
Sayde is survived by her sons, Getzell Murrell, Sr., Robert Murrell, Sr., and Victor Murrell (Vickie); her daughter, Sylvia Davis; her sister, Irene Richards of Oakland, CA.; her brothers, Captain Edgar Murrell of Fayetteville, NC., USA, Retired (Stella) and Charles Murrell, Sr.; her grandchildren, Garzell Murrell, Gerlynda Murrell, Getzell D. Murrell, Ganadra Murrell, Elonda Murrell, Robert Murrell, Jr., Mesia Davis, Getzell J. Murrell, Jr., Brandon Birdow Murrell, Christina Murrell de Ledezma, Dionna Murrell, Vincent Murrell and Keyandro Thompson; and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and wonderful friends. Sayde was blessed with several special caretakers: Hubert Ellison, Sheila Clerkey, Larry Ford and Michael Green. She had a special church sister, Ms. Lillie Earle and two special sons, Cecil Tubbs and Tremayne Bowman.

Family, your mom and our friend will never be forgotten. Our church fellowship has suffered a tremendous loss, but heaven has gained another no coward soldier to its ranks.
Be encouraged and stand strong in your faith to God our Father. He NEVER makes mistakes.
