She was born on December 12, 1948, in Flint, Michigan, to Dan and Carmen Rapovich. After her mother’s passing in 1959, her stepmother, Joy Rapovich, lovingly served as a mother to her younger siblings and grandmommy to her sons.
Sharon devoted her life to her family and to serving others with kindness, patience, and unwavering strength. She spent many years working as an Operations Manager at Clayton YES!, where she was valued for her leadership, reliability, and care for those she worked
alongside. After retiring, she continued to devote her time and energy to the people she loved most and volunteered to help others.
On August 16, 1966, Sharon married Jerry Daniel, with whom she shared almost 50 meaningful years of love, partnership, and family until his passing in 2015. She was a devoted mother to her two sons, Chris Daniel and Jeffrey Daniel, and a proud grandmother—affectionately known as “Nonnie”—to Lexi, Erin, Hannah, Allison, Sara, Jeffrey Jr., Matthew, Zachary, and Christian. Her family was the joy of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Carmen Rapovich; her husband, Jerry Daniel; her brother, Danny Jr.; and her stepmother, Joy Rapovich. She is survived by her siblings, Danette, Michelle, and Mike.
