Shirley Manley, of Joshua, Texas, passed away on Saturday August 1st 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was 85. Born on September 27th, 1940 in Fort Worth, Texas, Shirley lived a life marked by warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
Shirley was known for her compassion and kindness. She dedicated many years to her career as a dental technician where she touched countless lives through her compassion and skill. Outside of her work, Shirley found joy in gardening, cooking, farming, and gambling.
Family was the heart of Shirley’s life, and she poured her love into each generation. She is survived by her children Treva Holmlund, Terrie Duchene, and Jeff Jenkins, who carry forward her strength, humor, and compassion. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren — Bethany Burton, Kim Dunn, Emily Henchey, Steven Henchey, Jacob Jenkins, and Katie Bonnet — each of whom she cherished deeply and supported with unwavering pride. Shirley is also survived by her brother, Michael Carter, whose bond with her remained a constant source of comfort and connection throughout their lives.
A funeral service will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX 76134, on August 7, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with her burial to follow within Laurel Land Memorial Park - Fort Worth at the same address.
