She was born on December 31, 1934 in Dallas, Texas. Shirley was one of six children and the last of the siblings to depart this earth, marking the end of a generation.
Shirley married the love of her life, Richard Sullivan on February 22, 1952 at the age of seventeen and recently celebrated 70 years of marriage. By the age of twenty one she had given birth to three children David, Donna and Debbie. She and Richard moved to Ft. Worth and built their lives and family and lived in the same house for sixty two years. Shirley worked various jobs throughout the years to help support her family. She always put her kids first and provided a loving home for them to flourish. Her real love was being a homemaker who kept her house immaculate and delicious home cooked meals on the table.
Later when she and Richard retired they spent many years traveling with friends in their RV’s and enjoying the fellowship with the folks in their Good Sam’s Club.
Our Mother’s legacy was creating a close, loving and harmonious family that look after each other and help those around them in need.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard; loving children David (Lorenza), Donna (Jim) and Debbie (Phil); niece/daughter Lisa (Joe). Mother dearly loved her eight grandchildren: Jayson, Julie, Matt, Corey, Ross, Kara, Paige and Patrick and fifteen great-grandchildren: Casey, Riley, Joe, Sully, Bonnie, Emmerson, Evan, Elise, Avery, Emma, Easton, Addy, Bryson, Emme and Greyson.
She has shaped our past and inspired out future.
