He was born in Graford, Texas on November, 29, 1942. Simpson graduated from Arlington High School.
He went on to marry Sherry Heard on September 6, 1974 in Arlington, Texas. Simpson had a career with the State of Texas, working for the Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission, spanning 20 years.
Simpson was a member of Ridglea Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents Simp & Lucy Garrison.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Sherry Garrison, daughter Wendy Crow; and grandchildren Travis, Sydney and Caroline.
A memorial service for Simpson will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Ridglea Baptist Church, Calmont Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
