Stephen was born July 18, 1947 in Highlandville, Missouri and moved to Ft. Worth, Texas in 1951.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. Carter and Elizabeth Carter; sisters, Lil Carter, Kathryn Roberts, and Barbara Carter; and brothers, Bill Carter and Dale Carter.
He is survived by sisters, Carol Thomas, Shirley Manley, Delores Cain and husband Jim; brothers, Michael Carter and wife, Patsy, and Charles Parson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Steve was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Alcon Laboratories. He was a very active member of Christ Chapel Church in Ft. Worth. He was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a loving caregiver for his family and friends. Stephen was devoted to his many cats and he will be greatly missed.
