Stephen Lee Simmons

He was born in Dallas County, Texas on February 23, 1962. Stephen graduated from Boyd High School. He married Diana Gowan on April 30, 2010, in Burleson, Texas. Stephen owned and operated several restaurants for Mr. Jim's Pizza and owned and operated a trucking company.

He was a member of the Freemasons and had a passion for Christ, his Faith in God, his family, and helping those in need; he never met a stranger and loved everyone. His hobbies and joys included working in the flower beds with Diana, leatherwork, fishing, and anything related to the Texas A&M Aggies. Stephen was a charter Member at Grace Baptist Church of Decatur.

He is preceded in death by his father James Wyatt Simmons and his mother Bette Jo Simmons.

Stephen is survived by his wife Diana Simmons; his children Stacey Simmons, Chelle Simmons, and Macy Pyle; and his grandchildren Keegan Nunnally, Kason Nunnally, Wyatt Verstraete, and Maisyn Pyle.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at the Chapel of Chimes located within Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Road Fort Worth, TX 76134.
