A visitation for Sue will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel and Cemetery, 7301 East Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76112, followed by a Chapel service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
Sue was born in Hillsboro, Texas on February 1, 1937 to Elmo Roy and Annie Lorena Hixon. The second oldest out of five children. Sue served in the Airforce until her Honorable Discharge in October of 1959. From there she went on to serve in the Army National Guard as a Reserve of the Army until her Honorable Discharge in July of 1977. Sue worked for KPMG as an Administrative Assistant for 25 years. When she
retired, she did volunteer work for Threads of Love, and Cooks Children Hospital. She
enjoyed sewing for others.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Elmo and Lorena Hixon, Siblings: Glen (Sonny) Hixon, Charles Hixon, Mary Nell Baggett and her first born son, Andrew Szabacsan. Survivors: Daughter, Jennifer Hampton and husband Chris; daughter, Judi Arredondo; grandson, Zackery Arredondo and wife Haley. Sibling: Shirley Logan; Sister-in-laws: Naomi Hixon, Linda Hixon. Numerous nieces and nephews.
