

Tanyon Stewart was born on July 11, 1955 in Montgomery, Alabama to Johnnie and Farrie Newell. The second oldest of five girls she took on the roll as the second mom. She embraced religion at an early age. She attend FWISD as a child and completed her degree at Tarrant County Junior College in Fort Worth, Texas.
She met and married the love of her life; Cornelius Stewart on December 30, 1982. They had two beautiful daughters LaNitreya “Boo” and Shayla who she adored tremendously.
She began working for the State of Texas in 2010 and continued until she became ill. While there she met a few lifelong friends whom she adored and referred to as family.
She has been a shoulder to lean on, counselor, confidant, friend and so much more to so many. She will be missed for her spunk, sense of humor, storytelling ability, and the genuine love she showered all those around her with.
She was proceeded in death by her father Johnnie Newell, sister Farris Jennings, and niece Sharnee Newell.
Tanyon leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Cornelius “Corny” Stewart; two daughters LaNitreya (Torrey) and Shayla; four grandchildren Losuria, Jazmin, Treyon, and Charlee; her mother Farrie Carroll (Clyde); three sisters LaWes, LaShaunda, and Valencia; uncle Daniel (Lee Niata); niece Katrese (Ernest) and great niece Nicolette and a host of extended family and friends.
She has always been our sunshine on a rainy day but, AIN’T NO SUNSHINE WHEN SHE’S GONE!!!
