

Teddy Joe Nash, age 81, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021, in Bedford, Texas. He grew up on a farm in Western Oklahoma and was the youngest of five children. In December of 1960 he married Sondra Whittle of San Angelo, Texas. Ted proudly served in the United States Army 4th Infantry Division Artillery as a Sergeant and previously a radio operator. After leaving active duty he graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1966. After a 31-year career, he retired from Allstate Insurance Company in 1999. Ted was actively involved at the Richland Hills Church of Christ serving in the building maintenance ministry. He valued the time spent volunteering with friends at church delivering food and working at Christ Haven.
Teddy Joe was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Nash, three brothers and one sister.
He has one son, Brent Nash, wife Maria, two daughters, Stephanie Tuttle, husband Eric and Renee White, husband Chris. He and his former wife Sondra share 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral Chapel in NRH, on Thursday, November 18 at 11:30 with visitation starting at 10:30. He will be laid to rest at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2 p.m. on the same day.
