She was born on September 11, 1931 to Stuart and Louise Hislop in Long Beach CA. She grew up in Grants Pass OR and married Truman A Buchanan in 1956, whom predeceased her in 1998. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She was a great cook, a left-handed bowler and softball player as well as a diehard Denver Broncos Fan! She loved sharing in her grandchildren's events, watching them do whatever it was they loved, Theater, Band, Soccer, Volleyball, Football, Basketball and Baseball. When not watching sports she spent many days reading endless romantic novels. She loved watching TV mostly the daily soap operas and professional sports. Thelma is survived by her son Craig A. Buchanan, wife Tammy and daughter Robin A. Hemphill, husband Kevin as well as four grandchildren, Cody, Emily, Reece and Kolby.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6: to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
