A Visitation for Thomas will be held Monday, June 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel, 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112, with a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM, with Matthew Canada, Chaplain Lt. Colonel in the US Army, officiating. Committal Service to follow at 2:15 PM at the DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas 75211.
Tom was born in Memphis, Tennessee to William Elbert Canada and Val Delores Canada on November 26, 1945. He went to school in Memphis, Tennessee. He married Barbara Canada on December 13, 1986, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Tom was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He had a charismatic and magnetic personality, made friends easily, and he always cherished time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a lover of the outdoors, road trips, camping, and traveling. He worked in the clothing industry in sales for many years and as a Global Supply Chain Manager for Dickies clothing for sixteen years; a career that took him on travels all over the world. He also had a love for his country, was proud to have served in the Air Force, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents Elbert and Delores Canada and stepson Jeffrey Deere.
Tom is survived by his wife, Barbara Canada, his daughter Andrea Canada Payte and her husband Jerry Payte, stepsons Michael Deere and his wife Lisa Deere, Jim Eaton, and Jason Eaton; brothers Rick Canada and Bob Canada; and grandchildren Leah Payte, Gage Payte, Natalie Deere, Haden Deere, and Lexi Deere.
