On Father’s Day, June 21, 2026, Thomas Alvin Hudson, 84, a resident of Saginaw, Texas, transitioned from this earthly plane surrounded by his family at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance in Fort Worth, Texas. A loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he will be deeply missed by all who had the joy to know him.
Loved ones left to cherish Thomas’s memory include his beloved wife, Julia D. Hudson (nee Major); his loving daughter, Carol B. Hudson; and his cherished grandson, Julian Thomas Hudson-Love.
His legacy also lives on through his sister, Lois Sanders (née Hudson); his nieces and nephews, Tonia Causey (née Sanders), Wanda Ogunrinde, Kimberly Hudson Danley (Ashley David), Nicole Hudson, Orlando Sanders (Janelle), and Gregory Hudson; along with a host of extended family and friends.
Thomas was reunited in eternity with his parents, Elven and Savannah Brown Hudson; his siblings, Ruby Mae Thomas, Elvin Hudson Jr., and James Charles Hudson; and his nieces and nephews, Lydia Hudson-Givens, Karl Stephon Thomas, Lisa Thomas Sterling, Kelvin Hudson, William “Bobby” Thomas Jr., and Barbara Ann Thomas.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Winnfield Funeral Home, 7221 Plank Road, Baton Rouge, LA. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Winnfield Funeral Home Chapel. Interment and burial will follow at Southern Memorial Gardens in Baton Rouge, LA.
