Thomas Joseph Jordan Jr. was born to Thomas Joseph Jordan Sr. and Irma Dale Whiddon on July 21, 1949 in Atlanta, Georgia. Lorena Kay Becker Jordan was born to Clyde Wilson Becker and Isabelle Lorena Lindholm on November 10, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas. Tommy and Lorena met while attending Texas Wesleyan College, where he studied technology and she studied music. Tommy and Lorena were married on June 24, 1972 after Tommy joined the military. They moved several times during his service before they found their home in Fort Worth, Texas. Lorena Jordan, a life-long member of Grace Lutheran Church, bought Tommy Jordan to join her congregation. They both devoted themselves to the church by sharing their passions with those who loved them. Tommy shared his passion through photography and the church’s annual Fall Festival, which he’s organized for the past several years. Lorena shared her life-long love of music by directing both the bell and vocal choirs and by playing the organ. They also worked side-by-side for Hallmark Corporation for many years. Tommy had a quirky sense of humor and an amazing ability to make friends with everyone he met. Lorena had so much love in her heart and compassion for all of God’s creation. Lorena and Tommy both touched and enhanced the lives of so many people throughout their 46 years of marriage. They will both be missed but never forgotten. Their memory and legacy will live on through the hearts of all the people who loved them.
They were preceded in death by their parents, Clyde and Isabelle Becker and Irma Dale Jordan, and his/her sister, Sandra Halmers, as well as their grandchildren, Shawn and Auria Mize.
They are survived by their 3 children, Dane Jordan, Britta Brady-Mize, and Price Jordan; grandchildren, Landon, Nathan, Imogen, Chase, Easton, Charlee, and Reagon; father, Thomas Jordan Sr.; siblings, Terry Becker, Nancy Dagen, and Debbie Ruffu; and several nieces and nephews.
