Thomas “Tommy” Witt Moore, 90, passed away on September 30, 2016 in Arlington, Texas. He was born on August 27, 1926 in Comanche, Texas to Thomas and Mamie Moore. Tommy was a hardworking man who always wanted to help people. He began his career by driving a Fort Worth city bus where he met the love of his life, Betty. On August 15, 1947 they married, together they had three children. Together, Tommy and Betty founded Ft. Worth Tower Company and built the business for over 40 years before retiring. Tommy enjoyed and engaged in a wide variety of activities including owning and operating farms and ranches, hunting, and owning race horses. He is known mostly for his kind heart and willingness to help anyone and everyone who needed it. Tommy had a special place in his heart for children. He was a member of the Masons and would work with them to help underprivileged children. Tommy was also a member of the Baggett Creek Baptist Church in Comanche Texas. Tommy touched the life of his family and friends and will be deeply missed by everyone. He is preceded in death by his parents and four sisters. Those left to remember him are his wife, Betty, sons: Fred Moore and wife Cheryl, Carl Moore and wife Valinda, and Roy Moore and wife Lisa. Also left to remember him are his grandchildren: Chris Moore and wife Libby, Jeff Moore, Jeremey Moore and wife Leanne, Cody Moore and wife Sophie, Cassidy Moore and wife Nichole, Brooke Garcia and husband Desi, Roy Moore II and wife Vanessa, and Mathew Moore plus 10 great grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Home in Ft. Worth. A funeral service for Tommy will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 10 am at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Home.
