Mr. Thomas E. Pate

Thomas will be laid to rest in Smithfield Cemetery following graveside service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25.

Tom was born May 29, 1940, in Fort Worth, TX, to J. R. and Gladys Mae Pate. He attended Smithfield Elementary and spent most of his life in the Smithfield area. Tom lived his life on his own terms, defined by a stubborn resolve and determination. He had a lifelong love of motorcycle riding and found community with his brothers at his local Masonic Lodges. He was a Master Mason at Lake Worth #1410 and Ft. Worth Stock Show #1460, a York Rite Mason & Knights Templar 32nd degree Southside Commandery #83 and Grand Chapter & Grand Council at Ridglea Lodge #400 & #485. He was a man of consistent habits and was a well-known fixture at his local Whataburger, where he could be found frequently enjoying multiple meals a day.

Tom is survived by daughters; Cindy Green and her husband, Chris, Carolyn Stadtmueller and her husband, Jon; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by grandson, Austin Thomas Durant.
