Tin Thi Tran

A vigil will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (Giáo Xứ Đức Mẹ Fatima). The visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday December 2nd at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (Giáo Xứ Đức Mẹ Fatima), located at 5109 E. Lancaster Avenue in Fort Worth. Burial will follow at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery.

Maria Trần Thị Tin was born on January 1, 1929, in Viet Nam and was married to Giuse Nguyễn Văn Thành. She was always the solid foundation for her family throughout her life, especially when her family moved from North Viet Nam to South Viet Nam and again when they left their lives to immigrate to the United States in 1975. Despite her small stature, she was a fighter and made sure that her family was taken care of and wanted the best for her children.

She loved her family dearly and displayed it through her actions. While she was a fighter, she was fun and feisty with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed every moment with them, and they never left her house hungry. She was a tremendous example of love and support and a perfect example of God’s servant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Giuse Nguyễn Văn Thành, and her son, Giuse “Robert” Nguyễn Văn Thạnh, and great grandson Taylor Nguyen.

Maria Trần Thị Tin is survived and lovingly remembered by her children: Nguyễn Văn Thước, wife, children, and grandchildren; Nguyễn Văn Thảnh, wife, children, and grandchildren; Nguyễn John, wife, children, and grandchildren; Nguyễn Kim Lan, husband, and children; Nguyễn Văn Thạnh’s wife, children, and grandchildren; Nguyễn Kim Liên and children; Nguyễn Dominic, wife, and children; and Nguyễn Văn Thái, wife, and children.
