Tom was born in Los Angeles, California in June 6, 1935. The family made their move to Texas about 1946 and settled in Fort Worth. He attended R.L. Paschal High School and later attended TCU. He served his country with the United States Marines.
Tom retired from General Motors in Arlington. His favorite pastime was playing golf, and could often be found at his favorite course, Meadowbrook. He is preceded by his son, Tommy Buford.
Tom is survived by his brother, John, and his wife, Pat; sister, Susan and her husband, Herb; his former wife, Doris, and her daughter, Tana; grandchildren, Skyler and Rachel. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
