

Tuno was born on June 1, 1926 in Fort Worth to Bonifacio “Barney” Maldonado and Rosario “Rosa” Aguilar Maldonado. Though he was the youngest of the family, he proudly served his country and entered the military service alongside his older siblings at age 17. He was a World War II Army veteran with continued support to the troops and similar charities.
Tuno worked as a backhoe operator and contracted with Howard Kane Plumbing for over 40 years. He was a man of many talents and could build or fix anything. He loved and supported his family in all their endeavors; and was very proud of his granddaughter in Pentatonix for all of her accomplishments. He dearly loved his children and family.
Tuno was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jose, Jesse, Carmen, Bruno, Leonard; and sisters, Maria, Thomasa and Juanita.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Angeline Arteaga “Angie” Maldonado; daughter, Angelica Maldonado; son, Rick Maldonado and wife, Yamilet; granddaughter, Kirstin Taylor Maldonado; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and grand-puppies.
