Vel was a special and dear friend to me. She was beautiful in all ways that a person can be. She enjoyed her life, and it showed. I loved hearing her talk about her early life. She loved her sons and was so, so proud of them. And, her grandson, too. And her great-grandchildren! I know you all know how much she loved you. And, I know, too, she felt your love in return! I will miss my wonderful friend, Vel. I am so grateful to have had this friendship. I write this with love to the family.

She loved her family very much!
She was always speaking fondly & proudly of her family.
My prayers are with each of you in your time of sadness.
I feel like I know you even though we have never met.

Vel was one of the sweetest women I had the pleasure of knowing. I have moved to Santa Fe over a year ago and didn't know that she was in a nursing home. I know she was so proud of her son and grandchildren. I will miss her..i think of her often. Many blessings to her family.
