Vernelle was born Sept. 17, 1919, to Adolphus E. and Myrtle S. Kennedy in Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gayle S. Lacy Sr.
Survivors: Sons, Gayle S. Lacy Jr. and wife, Denise, Gary S. Lacy and wife, Karen; grandchildren, Shelley M. Lacy, Kelly L. Lacy and Gregory S. Lacy; and stepgrandchildren, Brice Marcum and Chris Pena.
