March 24, 1940 – August 8, 2026
Victor “Papa/Grandpa” Chacon passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, love, and family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Victor is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Margarita Chacon; daughters Ida Trevino (Sam), Zenaida Garcia (Rick), Evelyn Martinez (Oscar), Abby Chacon, Monica Ramirez, and Claudia Ramirez; son Luis Rodriguez (Yvonne); 20 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Lucia Lopez, Ester Granadoz, and Mary Fedorick.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ramon Chacon and Santos Olivares Chacon and his sister, Manuela Zamudio.
Victor was a hardworking man who took pride in providing for and caring for his family. He also found happiness tending to his garden and settling in to watch just about any sport that was on television. He especially loved his San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Rangers. And when sports weren’t on, you could often find him watching two of his favorites, The Rifleman and Walker, Texas Ranger.
He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, making memories with his children and grandchildren, and being surrounded by family. He will always be remembered for the love, laughter, stories, and memories he shared throughout his life.
He will be missed dearly and forever remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the generations of family he leaves behind.
Rest peacefully, Dad/Papa/Grandpa Victor. You will never be forgotten.
