A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Laurel Land – Rose Hill Memorial Park, 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112.
Viola Mansel Noble was born at home on October 15, 1930, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Roy Hardeman Mansel and Lorene Florence Mansel. She grew up during the Great Depression and carried the values of faith, resilience, and love with her throughout her life. She accepted Christ at the age of nine and held a deep, personal faith throughout her life.
She was very studious, a voracious reader, and a lifelong learner. Even as a child and into her teens, one of her favorite memories was writing poetry with her father. She was an artist who enjoyed painting throughout her life - even well into her 90s she was still painting and decorating. She was well known for her innate and exceptional taste in design and decor.
Viola married Robert M. Noble on June 24, 1948, and together they raised six children. Gary, her youngest child, was born on August 29, 1954, and passed away on March 2, 1957, at about two and a half years old. His loss was deeply felt by Viola and the entire family. Both in love and loss, she strived to create a warm and loving home and found joy in the simple things.
A sweet and positive woman with a generous heart, Viola worked tirelessly to give wonderful memories to her children. These included many camping trips to Colorado and especially Tres Ritos, New Mexico. Later, she and Robert owned a cabin in Hartsel, Colorado, where they spent a great deal of time. She also loved the Texas coast and created many special memories in Galveston.
When it came to her growing family, no effort was too great when planning and hosting the most wonderful holiday experiences. She would carefully plan, decorate, cook, and choose thoughtful gifts for everyone. The love, attention, and effort she put into bringing her children and grandchildren together was unparalleled. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out. Her greatest pride was her family. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and quiet strength.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Noble; her parents, Roy H. Mansel and Lorene Mansel; her son, Gary Noble; her sisters, Roma Liverman (Gene) and Royene Sachse (Ernest); her sister-in-law, Phyllis Rawls (Ben); her grandchildren, Michelle Dawn Noble, John Abram Noble, Elizabeth Mae Noble, and James Heath Noble; her great-grandchild, Jordyn Noble; her nieces, Fauncine Sachse and Kimberly Rawls Thigpen; and her nephews, E.J. Sachse Jr. and Jason Liverman.
She is survived by her children: Robert M. Noble IV (Debra), Roy Noble (Melinda), Victor Noble (Cordell), Vickie Noble Moore (James), and Barry Noble (Paula); her first cousin Sharon Barnett; along with many loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great- great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
